I am using the free version, with three virtual instruments in it. So I tried Cantabile and it is working very well and it is easy to use. I prefer to assign a different MIDI channel to each one and select my VST from my piano. You can choose instantly the right one with two clicks (unarm the unwanted one, arm the other).
With two VST, Reaper only use those of the tracks which are armed. You have however to configure it (ASIO or WASAPI sound card, enable your MIDI port), not complicated and it is done once for all.
